As part of the Anderson County Library System, the Iva Branch was in need of updating and modernization. Design South assisted Anderson County in the interior renovation of this approximately 4,675 square foot library. The work included minimal demolition while the space was restructured to improve sightlines and create better functioning spaces. To meet the demand of the community, the library added computer stations, which were centralized for better visibility. Along with new carpeting and paint throughout, the circulation desk was replaced to allow the library staff proper surveillance of the entrance and overall library activity. Because of increased demand for private study areas, an additional room was added to be used for tutoring or quiet individual study.
