This project included the construction of an asphalt paved truck driver and motorcycle rider training area with a footprint of 160,000 square feet. Design South provided preliminary planning and final design services for the project. The construction included clearing and grubbing, grading, new paving, site lighting, electrical service installation, and stormwater detention structures. The College plans to develop the approximately 6.5 acres of the site immediately south of the training area in the future. This development will be mixed commercial. The dry detention pond was designed to accommodate the runoff from this development as well as the training area. The project was managed and performed by Anderson County personnel.
