Scope

The Greenwood Metropolitan District upgraded the Wilson Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and a portion of the existing 30-inch Wilson Creek and 36-inch Coronaca Creek trunk sewers that transport wastewater to the plant.
Scope:

  • Phase I design included installation of approximately 3,400 feet of 72-inch HDPE sewer.
  • Phase II and III included the installation of 3,900 feet of 48-inch HDPE sewer in the Wilson Creek Basin
  • The design featured installation of the pipeline in challenging conditions including bedding in very deep soils as well as high groundwater levels.
  • The installation process included electro-fusion welded joints that enable the pipeline to become a complete monolithic system.
